The MEDICRAFT AUDIOGENIC TEST CHAMBER provides auditory stimulus for evaluation of ataraxic agents. It consists of a seizure chamber placed inside a sound-proofed enclosure. A trap-door at the front of the apparatus permits handling of the animals. Animals inside the chamber are visible through the door. The interior of the chamber is illuminated.

The auditory stimulus is produced by two high quality electromechanical buzzers controlled by switches on the front side of the chamber, just below the door. Either one or both the Buzzer may be rung at a time. Timing of the duration of the stimulus is performed with a manual stop-watch. Another Model with inbuilt 30 second timer is also available.
