The MEDICRAFT SHUTTLE BOX is designed to study
the avoidance behavior of the rats and mice in the laboratory.
The Medicraft Shuttle Box consists of a
rectangular box/chamber which is divided into two sections, Each chamber
so formed has its grid floor which can be electrified. The dividing wall
is provided with an opening through which the animal crosses over from
one chamber to another. This dividing wall and the sides of the chamber
are opaque and the top of chamber is a hinged clear transparent
plexiglass lid, through which the animal is placed in or removed from
the chamber.
Each chamber can be illuminated and a sounder or
speaker is at the centre top of the lid to produce acoustical stimulus .
A Controller Unit provides the necessary control
functions.
